Dasher? No, Rudolph!

No, I'm not repeating myself though this card does share some similarities to this card and this card.  And just to clarify, the other card featured DASHER and this is his brother, Rudolph!

I used Red Fine Galaxy Stampin' Glitter on Rudolph's nose and Dazzling Diamonds on his antlers (there's no such thing as red snow!)

I wanted so much to add another color to the card but every time I tried, it just looked out of balance.  I finally decided on this monochromatic scheme.

Brenda's Stamping Tips

• Fine Galaxy Stampin' Glitter comes in Black, Silver, Red, Gold and Champagne.  
• Sprinkle the glitter on your cardstock while holding it over (or placing it in ) a Powder Pal.  This great tool will keep your workspace neat and allow you to save excess glitter for another time!  Love it when we can be economical!  (and have more money for stamps!)
• No additional fixative is needed to ensure that the glitter remains on your project when you use the 2-Way Glue Pen!

An Upsy Daisy Birthday Card

I would've never thought to put Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler today but it works and I like it.

It's warm and cozy and reminds me of fresh, hot-out-of-the-oven gingerbread for some reason (hmmm...maybe that should be tonight's dessert!)  I'm going to definitely use this color combination again! 

Brenda's Stamping Tips

• Use the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder to give cards texture and interest.
• It can be difficult to get a large area image to stamp well.  I thoroughly ink the rubber and then place the stamp on cardstock.  Gently apply pressure for a few seconds to allow the ink to be absorbed into the cardstock.  Be sure to evenly apply pressure over the entire stamp.  Lift your stamp and you will have a nicely inked image.

This card is another one that's quick and easy to make.  Okay, I have to admit that I struggled a little bit this morning BUT only because I initially had another card in mind.  Once I decided that the design wasn't going to work, this came together lickety-split!

Monochromatic Sincere Salutations

Monochromatic color combinations are soothing and easy to put together.

Here I chose Marina Mist and Night of Navy as I wanted something darker than Marina Mist on which to showcase my Marina Mist Grosgrain Ribbon. This was made as an anniversary card for a friend whose company is celebrating a milestone anniversary but it could easily be for a masculine birthday too!

Who says that Christmas cards have to be red and green?  What about green and blue or rather Old Olive and Night of Navy?  It's fun to do something surprising!

• The Ornament Punch coordinates perfectly with the Stampin' Up! Delightful Decorations stamp set.
• Stamp your image on cardstock first.  Insert the stamped cardstock into the punch with the bottom of the punch facing you so that you can easily position the stamped image in the center of the punch.
