Sunflower Wishes

I love the versatility of the Scallop Circle Punch. There's so much you can do with this punch and all the Stampin' Up! punches. Doesn't it make a pretty sunflower?

This card was fast and easy. I punched 2 scallop circles out of Summer Sun card stock and then snipped from the outer edge towards the center (but not all the way) to create the flower petals. I then used my fingers to partially bend the petals toward the center of the flower to create more of a 3-D effect. Punching a 3/4" circle out of Chocolate Chip and adhering it with a Stampin' Dimensional finished the flower.

The leaves are a lot of fun to make and equally easy. I took a piece of Old Olive card stock (maybe 1 1/2" wide) and scored it lengthwise. I then inserted it diagonally into my paper crimper and crimped away. While the paper was still folded, I cut half the leaf out so that when unfolded, it was a complete leaf. Once unfolded, I snipped it a little here and there to correct the shape.

I love how the Old Olive card stock complements the flecks in the Confetti Cream card stock.

Maybe next time I'll make purple coneflowers or daisies! And I have an idea of how to improve on the leaves. Stay tuned...

What neat shapes have you made with punches?
